Born in 1955 in Perth, Scotland as Margaret Rose Johnstone, she immigrated to Canada as a child and currently lives on the west coast of British Columbia. There had always been a searching, a kind of unrest in her life, about purpose and trying to find a balance with how the world appeared and how she felt.

         In 1993 her dear friend Grace introduced Maggie to 'A Guide to the  I Ching' by Carol Anthony. She claims that " It fulfilled a great inner need that no other source could." Trying different books of I Ching, she returned back to the 'guide' and consulted it regularly for 10 years. Maggie began to feel what Carol Anthony and Hanna Moog refer to in the 'I Ching, The Oracle of the Cosmic Way' as "the contradictions of the two layers". The truth and the feudal layer had evolved with rewriting the oracle over millennia.

         Maggie has started her professional life on the basis of the cosmic way. An accredited addiction professional, she is ready to serve with the cosmos and all of its helpers, to consult the sage of  I Ching for those that employ her services.
